In case the title didn't scare you off, I am not going to have a political rant here.  I typically keep my politics to the voting booth.  Although, sometimes, it is impossible not to say something....one way or the other. Here is what I am going to say about the speech last night.  I did not watch it.  I had some things on DVR I wanted to catch up on.  In all honesty, I forgot about it until the news broke in for a "Special Report" at 9pm.  I was already on the way to DVR land by then. :)  I did flip through a few times, but I did not listen to more than one or two sentences.  So that makes me pretty unqualified to have an opinion of the speech. I will say, I personally think the state of our union is in a mess.  We have soldiers stationed and fighting all over the world. We have rich people who keep getting richer and never have to pay taxes or face consequences for their actions.  We have poor people who are getting poorer an...

Yesterday I posted some truths and lies about myself. Today, I'm going to tell you which are which. 1. True....As a Girl Scout Leader, I have to be a registered Girl Scout. When I was younger, I was a Brownie Girl Scout. Last year, I started a troop so that I could be my daughter's leader. Now, I have been a Girl Scout for two years of my adult life. It's fun! I have learned a lot of things in the past two years. 2. Lie...I do NOT love animals. I do NOT hate animals either, but I do not like animals. I have a saying (and please don't get mad) that the best kind of dog is on a bun with chilli! lol I'm allergic to anything with fur. I used to have a dog, but had to give it away because of my allergies. I had a rabbit too, but... yeah.... allergies! lol I do not like animals! PLUS.... I'm a TERRIFIED of dogs. Really, I'm not much of an Oprah fan. I watched her show SOME while I was in college. It made for good writing in my English classes. However, I started thinking. Do we really think that Oprah would have decided to "retire", as much as owning/running your own network will let you, if Obama had not been voted in as President? Do we seriously think that she would have left America without an African-American President AND without the Oprah Winfrey Show? Personally, I don't care. But... I was just thinking about it.
