I want my Daddy

Because I have not felt well today, I have not been able to go to visit my Daddy. I went to his house and Tony went in to give him the meds we picked up at the store for him. However, I could not go in. I have germs. Actually, we are pretty sure that it's totally my allergies and sinuses draining into my throat, but I don't have a voice! :( So I can't go see Daddy! :( Maybe tomorrow.... but.... I'll talk to him either way! Until next time........

Not Me Monday!

Image
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama . You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. Wow! I haven't done one of these in a while! However, this week has been interesting for me. Since my Dad has been in the hospital this week (and came home on Thursday), I most certainly did NOT eat out a couple of times even though I packed my lunch to go to my Clinical Observations for school. I was not so lazy that I simply went to the hospital to see Dad instead of going home to eat first. I would never do that! While I was at the hospital this week, I did NOT talk up the nurses about my Mary Kay business to try to get me some customers in the hospital. That would just totally be wrong to do while your Dad is in the hospital. So I would NOT do that. I also would not go to the MinuteClinic just to make sure I didn't have strep. Since Dad doesn't have his spleen any more, he is more likely to get illness

Happy Blog-aversary!

I just realized that TODAY (Oct. 25th) is ONE YEAR that I have been blogging! Can you believe it? Are you still awake? lol I can only hope that the next year of blogging is a little less dramatic for me. However, I know that anyone reading this probably hopes I come up with more interesting stuff to write about! :) Anyways.... I just wanted to say "Happy Blog-aversary" to me! Until next time........

Wonderful Husband

I have the most wonderful hubby in the world. Don't tell him I said it. He doesn't read my blog, so I'm safe from him reading it.... I think! Anyways, I have been working on PTO stuff and homework in the office most of the day. I came home from lunch after church and came straight upstairs to the office. I only went downstairs long enough to brush my teeth, comb my hair, and throw on my shoes for church tonight (and we were late)! After church, we went to the grocery store. As soon as we came home, I got Chasity ready for bed, sent her to brush her teeth, and grabbed more stuff to finish my homework. He sent Chasity up here to hug and kiss me; then he put her to bed. Just a few minutes ago...right at 10pm...I had not even noticed the time until then...he came upstairs with my supper so I could eat. Ok so it was only frozen pizza, but at least he cooked it and brought it up here. I wasn't expecting to eat until I finished my homework! He even put EXTRA CHEESE on

This Past Week...

...of my life has been the most stressful, sleep-deprived, teary-eyed week I have ever had. However, it was also the most blessed and miracle-filled. In my most recent post, I told about my dad having a car accident two weeks ago. This past Wednesday, we found out there was a little more to the story. Dad felt up to going to church on Wednesday night. When he got home, he ate supper and watched "Georgia Rule" on TV. When the movie went off at 11pm, he got ready to get up and passed out in his chair....literally. His eyes rolled back in his head. He started sweating so much it looked like he had just gotten out of the swimming pool....fully dressed. He was unresponsive. Mom called 911. Then she called me. I live literally around the corner. I had to wait on the firetruck to pass my house so I could pull out of the driveway. Then I had to wait for the EMT to turn so that I could turn on Mom's street. They pulled in front of the driveway. I pulled into the fron

Falling off the face of the earth

Well.... I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but it sure feels like it. Since last Tuesday, I have FINALLY been placed for my observations for this semester. It's kind of far, but....that means I won't have to go there for my Student Teaching next semester. I should be closer to home for that! lol I have completed a good bit of homework and paperwork. However, there is still a mountain of paperwork to do. Right now though, I am a week ahead (and plan to stay that way) in homework. I just have to finish the reading for the week. :) I have had a VERY successful Girl Scout meeting! I even helped another troop with their meeting. I also helped our Service Unit manager to do a new leader meeting last night. It was fun! :) I have done some GS training! I went Thursday morning with my new assistant leader to the Leader 101 training. It is somewhat different than the training I did just one year ago! I have been scared out of my wits by my dad's accident. On Th

Last Night

...we had our first Girl Scout meeting with the new girls that we recruited. My new co-leader is awesome! She basically took care of the girls while I had another parent meeting. I had to let all the new parents know how everything was going to work. (I hope it works!) Anyways, the girls had Game Night. I took Chasity's board games, card games, puzzles, and stuff to the meeting. I gave the girls 5 rules to follow. 1. No cheating. 2. No screaming and yelling. 3. No goodying the other girls when they won. 4. No crying when they lost. 5. Have lots of fun! They all abided by the rules! So...the Daisies earned their Blue (Honest and Fair) petal. The Brownies completed an activity for a Try-it. The parents will have to complete some of the other activities at home in order to earn the whole try-it! :) I have a couple parents that are going to be on the Troop Committee. I also have another parent who has decided to step up as a co-leader. That's great because I needed

Homecoming

Today was homecoming at church! It was great! We had an awesome group called "Men of Praise" sing for us. The pastor delivered a great message. Unfortunately, because of homecoming, we didn't get anything together for Children's Church, so I had to take Chasity out to the nursery. She played there and I watched the sermon on the Closed Circuit TV. Then there was more singing. Then..... there..... was..... FOOD! OMG! It was wonderful food! Of course, food at church is ALWAYS good! Anyone who goes to a Southern church knows that! lol There was a counter full of deserts! There was chicken, potatoes, veggies, and just about anything else you could think of. It was a great Homecoming today! Until next time........

Plans for Today

I actually have accomplished already everything that I planned for myself for today! The only thing I wanted to get done today was.....sleeping in. Every morning, I get up between 5:30 and 6:00am. (That will be much EARLIER when I start my clinical observations and student teaching.) Anyways, my goal for today was to sleep past 8am. I did that. I slept until 9am. Then, when I got up, I went to the living room. I laid on the couch and fell back to sleep. I didn't wake up until almost 11am. Tony and Chasity left to go work at the church. I'm working on getting stuff together to meet with my Girl Scout co-leader in a couple of hours. After my meeting, Tony, Chasity, and I have to go grocery shopping. Other than that, we are finished for today. Of course, the house could use some work, but there's always tomorrow! lol Until next time........
