I Might Be Going Out Of Business....

I have been a Mary Kay consultant since October 2005. I have not really done anything with my business in a LONG time. I am thinking about going out-of-business. However, every time I think about doing this, I get orders from people. :( So I have to place an order to get their stuff for them........ I have thought about putting my stuff on eBay (or having a friend do it). That way I can stay "active", but not have the classes and stuff... I really don't have time right now. I know that I could probably sneak in one a month or maybe two. BUT...with Chasity in dance, Girl Scouts, and sports (depending on the season)... it's really hard. Plus, with me working with the Girl Scouts, PTO, taking classes, being active at my church, I really don't have spare nights to do anything. I try to look my best and meet people when I am out and about, but more often than not, I just don't...I just don't. I don't know what to do. All I know is I have a couple

Not Me Monday! I did NOT do it!

Image
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama . You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. So it's Monday again! WOW! It was not me who was totally did not do any dishes this weekend. I did do laundry, but it was not me who avoided dishes ALL weekend! Since my weekend dishes were not piled in the sink (although we have a dishwasher), I was not just totally embarrassed when two ladies from church (that I'm helping with VBS) came over to get some papers for VBS. They came in the house and I was NOT totally embarrassed by the dishes in the sink. I always keep my dishes done! As for Chasity, I have not been counting down days until she starts Dance Camp. She starts tonight, but I have not been looking forward to it so that I can have 3 hours/night for 3 nights that I don't have to hear her ask me to take her outside or to watch cartoons! I would not do that! I am not planning on doing so many things t

StumbleUpon

I still am not 100% sure what this StumbleUpon button does, but I'm going to try it out for awhile! LOL At least it's cute! My friend (who lives in my computer) Tinika from Me & You Plus Two ! blogged about adding the StumbleUpon button today. So... I thought I'd give it a try! Let's see what happens! Until next time........

Mom.....

So.... I went to mom's house earlier to visit. She is resting... well... sitting in the living room with her leg propped up and ice on her knee. She is supposed to stay that way tomorrow (except for trips to the "little girls' room" or to walk from the bedroom to the living room). Saturday, she can be up on it more. By Monday, she is able to do just about anything..."as long as it is comfortable" (the dr's words)!! Mom needed these days off, but wouldn't take them. So now...she's being FORCED to take them! lol It's about time! She's tired of sitting. She was still a little groggy tonight. I asked if she was bored and she said "I'm not awake long enough to get bored"! Maybe she'll get bored tomorrow! Until next time........

Looking for a name....NEED HELP!!!

The Girl Scout district with which I am working this year is doing an Art Show. The girls are going to create arts/crafts/pictures/etc (the leaders can also) and we are going to have an art show. We are going to display and sale the art. Parents/friends and the community are going to be invited. We have to come up with a great name for it. So.... I went "thesaurus diving"! Yes! I'm a nerd like that! I wanted to find something for "creative". After about 10 minutes of searching, I came up with two names, but thought I'd ask for help!!! 1. Innovative Imaginations 2. Inspired Originals I sent those 2 to the girl who is helping me plan it.... so I'll have to see what she says about them. What do you think? Any other clever attention-grabbing names that you could suggest? Until next time........

Girl Scout Patches

I really didn't realize how many patches and stuff Chasity has earned this year. BUT... I just got home from my mom's house (literally around the corner) and we spent a little more than an hour putting all Chasity's petals and patches on her Daisy Girl Scout Tunic! I am so excited to see her tunic so colorful now! She earned her entire Daisy for the front of her tunic. Then she earned 20-30 patches for the back of the tunic! WOW! That was all between October and May.....SEVEN months. Imagine what she'll do with 3 extra months next year! LOL I am excited about what Girl Scouts can do for her! She loves it! I just hope she continues to love it! Until next time........

Lazy Days...

I have been really lazy the past couple of days. Yesterday, Chasity and I did NOTHING. We watched TV and played with toys, but we didn't do anything else. Today, I woke up at 8:45am. Chasity woke up about 10 minutes later. We are currently watching "Word World" on PBS. It's a pretty neat little show! I really wish things would show up just because we put letters together. lol Update on Aunt JoAnn: As of yesterday, we were told that she had about 72 hours to 7 days left. When mom spoke to my cousin Wayne yesterday, he said that Aunt JoAnn has 2 new tumors on her head. He said that he's figuring maybe 72 hours. He's really not thinking she will make it all week. However, the family is prepared... we're just waiting now. Until next time........

Update....

Wow! I haven't updated about my weight loss in a while. This is probably because I haven't really been doing anything. I have gained a pound and lost 2. I have gained a partial pound and lost the same the next week. BUT... today when I weighed in, I have lost 3 more pounds. Last week I only lost like .6 lbs. So.... I think I'm doing OK. I really need to be more cautious with my food... but... I haven't been. I know that! Grandma? Well... she's in the nursing home. We have fewer than 20 days to decide (family and doctors) if she will stay there or go back to the assisted living facility. I'm pretty sure we are going to move her back, but my mom and her siblings have to decide. Speaking of my mom's siblings, my Aunt JoAnn is very sick. She's had cancer for awhile! However, we were told yesterday that she may not make it to next weekend. When she goes, I know she will be better off. Right now, she's in a lot of pain and doesn't reall

Girl Scouts Rock!

Tonight we had the GS Awards for our Troop. WOW! That was a lot of work! I didn't realize that the girls had earned so much until I started getting everything together. Chasity earned a lot that the other kids didn't mainly because she had to be at stuff. With a leader as your mom, you have to be places that other kids don't always show up! lol Chasity got the 1st place trophy for selling 500 boxes of GS cookies! #2 was 328 boxes. #3 was a 2-way tie with 300 boxes! I am just glad that it's over. It won't be long until we start meeting again....August! So now, I am getting ready for GS camp...the beginning of August. Then probably 2 weeks later, we will have our first meeting. Whew! That doesn't seem so long now! I am just so glad that Girl Scouts ROCK!!! Until next time........

I WON!!!

Ok...so every so often I come up with something really weird to say.... I did that the other day! Because I did that.... I WON! Check out the post here ! Until next time........

Banned from Daycare (and Knee Surgery)

So...our church daycare has been open since January 2005. My child was the first one enrolled. No, I wasn't thrilled since I had moved down here so that she wouldn't have to be in daycare. (My mom was watching my brother's youngest at her house...so she was watching Chasity there too!) We were trying to avoid daycare altogether. However... the church opened the daycare and my mom became the director. So Chas started going there. Well... because daycare is quite expensive, they (the powers that be) worked out a deal with me. I could get a discount if I'd work 3-4 hours a day to help the daycare! I'm not much for small children and I despise diapers, but I agreed! lol So I have been an "employee" of the daycare since a few weeks after it opened. So what's the problem? Back in April, I worked in my mom's place at the daycare because she went to the church conference with some other people from our church. One of the (NEW) girls obviously t

Coming Together Nicely

So things are starting to come together here... First, we got Gma moved into the nursing home yesterday. I really like it, but I'm pretty sure my mom is wanting her back at the Assisted Living center. However.... I think given time, my mom will like this place just as much! Second, I went to the Girl Scout store today. I got all the badges/patches that the girls earned this year. Next year, I don't think I'm waiting until the last minute to get those! lol BUT.... I know I probably will! Third, plans are starting to come together for Friday Night's Girl Scout Awards Ceremony. People are starting to RSVP. I have the badges... I have all the cookie prizes (and have had for a month now)...snacks are being chosen...and the lady just called a few minutes ago to say that the Cookie Trophies are ready! :) I'm starting to get excited! Last (I think)....my computer monitor completely died on my laptop again, so I sent it off yesterday. I should have it back (and fi

G is for Grandma and Good Grief!!!!

So I'm on an alphabet kick recently I guess... but.... that's how my brain works I guess. Anyways, some things have been going on around here so I thought I'd write. Good Grief! Actually...both words tie together today! I guess I need to explain Grandma first! Alright...Grandma Edwards...she's my mom's mom! She's 90 years old and has Alzheimer's. She has been living in an Assisted Living facility near here since Christmas. She's been doing pretty well...once we got everything straightened out for her! :) However... Wednesday the staff called my mom to inform her that Gma had a fever--almost 101. They said they were going to have the nurse there check her and they'd let mom know what was going on. I had a meeting that night and mom was supposed to watch Chasity for me. So about 5pm mom called me to say that Chasity was staying with my dad because she was going to check on Gma. That was cool! About 5:15pm mom called back and said that I need

C is for Computer and Consistency!

I can honestly say that my computer is consistent! I am getting ready to box it up to send it off to have it fixed for the THIRD time! Naturally the lady at the warranty place said that they do not ask for replacements until the same thing has broken 4 times in 12 months. I have until October to see if this is going to work....or if they are going to have to get me a new one! However.... the only thing I can say is that I really hope they get me another computer like this one... just that works! lol I like having the thing on the side to put in my camera disc so my pics go straight where I want them! After I send it off, they said it should be 10 business days before I get it back... Let's see if we can get it to work THIS time.... LOL At least I don't have school right now, so I'm not stressing about that! Until next time........

E is for Explanations and Endeavors!

Today is Monday! So I thought I'd give an explanation for the "Six Word Saturday" that I posted. As if one is really needed.... Thursday...game. We won. Friday...game. We won. Saturday...game. We lost. Actually.... to be honest the other coach cheated and we should have tied and gone into overtime. However... I am trying really hard to be nice (NOW!). I was very rude and ill on Saturday as it happened and immediately after the game. I went so far as to try call the other coach a "cheating jerk who doesn't know anything about playing by the rules". Luckily...after hearing what he had done, other parents and some of the other coaches felt the same way. NO! I didn't go make an announcement, although I felt like it! The parents and other coaches were there.... it was the first of two possible Championship games. If we had won (which we would have in OT) we would have played again. Unfortunately, the coach added a player in the middle of the

Six Word Saturday

Image
So a friend who lives in my computer has been doing this for a while now, so I thought I would join in. You explain your life in only 6 words..... so my six words today are..... More baseball than I imagined possible! I'll explain tomorrow (or Monday!) Until next time........

More Baseball

So last night we played again....in the drizzle! I almost pulled Chasity out of the game, but decided to see how hard the rain was going to get! It wasn't bad....so I left her in the game! She did great! She even got the game ball.... Why??? I'm so glad you asked! lol In the first inning, she got a single and knocked a run in. That tied the game at 3-3! Then in the 2nd inning, she got out going to 1st base, but she still knocked in another run. That tied us up 6-6! Then the next batter knocked in the winning run, but because it is a church league, everyone bats every inning (at least in the 5-6 year olds!)! (I think that's a great rule!!) Anyways....the final batter knocked in one more run so we won 8-6! What does that mean? Well....it means that we play tonight again! At 6:30pm we play (if it isn't storming....they are calling for bad storms!). Tonight's game is against a team that also played last night. We aren't sure yet who we play....I did

Baseball Tournament

Wow! I know I have said it before, but 5-6 year old baseball is stressful! I'm going to have heart failure if they keep playing like this! Monday night, we played a team that we had met twice in regular season. We won once; we lost once! We were hoping to avoid them for a while in the tournament! Anyways.... after Friday night's loss to the Braves (10-9)....we had to play Saturday morning. We won! It went into a single overtime, but we won. Friday night's game went into overtime also! So then we had to play Monday night. OMG!!!!! We played the White Sox--this was going to be the tie breaker for our two teams! Because there is an hour time limit, we usually play 2 innings. Fine.... we can do that! BUT....Monday night, we were tied at the end of the 2nd. So we played our next 4 batters and they played their next 4 batters.... at the beginning of OT, the score was 7-7. At the end of those 8 batters (our 4 and their 4) the score was 9-9. Now.... OT #2. We sco
