Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today would have been my Grandma's (mom's mom) 93 birthday. However, since Jesus called her home to live with Him on June 30th, she's celebrating with Him. So Happy Birthday Grandma! Have a great day celebrating with Jesus! I know that she had some wonderful birthdays here. She would talk about them and tell us her favorite birthdays...until she couldn't remember anything. (She had Alzheimer's.) But... I know that today is her BEST birthday ever! She is celebrating with Jesus!

Where Does the Time Go?

Wow! It's been FOREVER since I last blogged! Since I have been home from vacation, I have been swamped with school. The class I am taking is a Research Methods class. I knew that it was going to have a lot of Scientific information and mathematical statistics to do in it. So I put it off as long as I possibly could. Then I decided that instead of spreading the torture out for 16 weeks in the fall semester, I would shrink all the same work into a 5-week summer session. OMG! So far, I have not had many problems. This week is probably going to kill me. :( I actually have to do the math for myself this week. I have been reading the statistics and I have been doing okay in writing about them. So.... I'm just hoping I can find someone to do my homework for me this week! (NO! I'm just kidding! I will actually do my OWN homework!) However, I only have assignments due this Sunday (7/31), next Sunday (8/7), and my final exam and final assignment are due 8/10. Then I have abou

Back At It

We just got back from our vacation.  We came back on Wednesday.  However, we needed Thursday to recover!  lol  Isn’t that how it always goes?  You need a vacation to relax from a vacation? So, here are some of the highlights. First, we went to Boone, NC.  We stayed not far from Appalachian State University!  (I attended ASU as a college freshman!  It has changed A LOT since then!) The hotel where we stayed was great!  There was an indoor pool, but the tub in our room was big enough to be a small one-person pool for Chasity!  She just had to get in (clothes on and NO water) so that I could get a picture of the size!  She loved it!!     We were supposed to visit Tweetsie Railroad.  Chasity won tickets through her Girl Scout Cookie sales this year.  However, on July 4th, the day we planned to go, it was stormy all day.  The thunderstorms finally went away around 7pm.  The park closed at 9pm.  So we decided we would visit the mountains again to go to Tweetsie.  We are going t

Heartbroken and Rejoicing

It has been a strange, long, busy month. I will (I promise to try) get some pics and info up for what has been going on this past month. Right now, my heart is broken, but I am rejoicing. Yesterday at 3:29pm, God called my Grandma Edwards home. This is my mom's mom. She would be 93 on July 30th. She had been sick for 2 weeks.....exactly.....14 days. She has 4 children still living--mom, Uncle Tommy, Uncle Arbeth, and Aunt Rhonda. Mom and Uncle Tommy live here in town. So they helped the nursing home to take care of her. (YES! We had to help them because they did not always do their jobs!) Aunt Rhonda now lives in GA. She was living in SC, but her hubby got a job in GA so she had to move. Uncle Arbeth is the oldest. He's in his 70s. His health isn't great, but he still gets around from day-to-day. His wife has Alzheimer's. He lives about an hour away. The nursing home called the family in on Tuesday. Mom and Uncle Tommy basically moved in up there. They o
