My mom just called a little bit ago (so I ran downstairs to the TV). There's a bus from a school not far from my house that had 45 5th graders on it heading to SC for an overnight field trip at Camp Thunderbird. The bus had an accident and is now laying on its side facing the wrong way on I-77 southbound. It has been there for a little bit already and they are saying it will be at least another hour before all is cleared on the interstate again!! Of the 45 kids, 20 did not get injured, 19 had minor injuries and are on the CMC "bus" to get checked out, and 6 were transported via ambulance to area hospitals. They keep telling parents not to go to the scene, but they keep saying how bad it is. Right now, they don't know exactly who is where. There were 3 buses total going on the trip. Two are still sitting there waiting to be cleared to go back to the school. The other bus is....well.....a little damaged at the moment! Here is more information about it: http://www.

So... I have two classes left (if I survive the current ones) before I am licensed to teach High School English. So.... what did I hear on the news yesterday? Our wonderfully stupid NC Governor (for whom I did NOT vote) is cutting teacher salaries. To be fair, she's cutting all state employee salaries by something like 5%. So...does that mean SHE is getting a pay cut too????? (Doubt it!) Anyways... I'm just a little aggrivated that NC teachers don't get paid anything close to what they are worth and now the stupid Governor (for whom I did NOT vote) is cutting more money out. Let's just say that I'm looking into other states as an option when I finish my Masters' degree!!! Until next time........

Of course, I think she has taken a little time off of Not Me Mondays! because her Sweet Stellan is in the hospital! He has been there for over a month now! First, it was not me who had my mom wake up before sun-up on Saturday morning so I could borrow her truck. I had to get the yard sale stuff to the church so that I could have the yard sale! I was NOT the one half asleep and attempting to do homework while people were shopping at the yard sale! Of course, I did not take all the extra Girl Scout cookies and put them on the table to try to sell them either! (Sold about 10 boxes! lol) 2. I did finish my 3 stories and my essay for the week. Y es! I have stuff to do. I have more stuff than I know HOW to do! Let's see... this should be a pretty busy weekend. 1. Get yard sale stuff together. I have some stuff that I need to go through so that I can get rid of some stuff and take it to the Yard Sale tomorrow. YES tomorrow! I know, I know... I should wait until like 2am to get the stuff together! 2. Homework! I have three stories to read that I have to write something about tomorrow...by midnight. So, I'll read AFTER I get yard sale stuff together. And...I'll read at the yard sale! Then I have TWO books to read before May 6th because I have a final that night and the two books that I haven't read yet WILL be on it! :) I have SIX two page papers to write... I just haven't figured out what I am going to write, so I'm having issues writing! I think that's it for this weekend! 3. YARD SALE! I have the yard sale tomorrow morning! I was just over at the Freeman Family blog and I learned that Kaleigh is not waking up. She was making good progress after her recent surgery, but now she isnt' waking up. The doctors have run some tests and are telling her parents that part of her brain isn't functioning. If there is anyone reading this blog today, we need to pray for Kaleigh...and her family. God needs to work a miracle for this family! Until next time........

Wow! I can't believe I have waited so long to write again! Trying to finish up classes, get through finals, and complete the Girl Scout meetings for the year, I have been busy! Man! I just realized that I have a snot-load of stuff to do in the next two weeks....all my classes end by May 9th--isn't that FABULOUS??? So last week was interesting. I worked in my mom's place at the daycare for three days. Everything came to a head with Stacy on Thursday, but that's a story for another place and time!! It was interesting. I actually got a good bit of homework finished during play time and naptime those three days! (My mom was out of town for a church conference!!) Friday night, I went to a scrapbooking thing with a friend. I'm working on Chasity's second year now. I've finished her first year....that book is HUGE!!! Now I'm on to the 2nd year. I don't think this book is going to be as big! Of course, I haven't really gotten started yet either!! lol I o

So this week Chasity is on Spring Break. I had mine from my classes back in March, so this is not a vacation for me. I wish schools and universities could have the schedules.... but anyways! So instead of hanging out at home with Chasity for the five school free days, I get to work at the day care to cover for my mom. She and Dad left this morning with a couple other people from our church to go to a church conference in the mountains. It only makes since that my parents go since my daddy is the minister of music! Anyways...... So today I got up at 5:30am! WOW! Haven't done that in a WHILE! So...I got to the daycare to help out at 7am! There was only ONE child there...other than mine (who has to go with me because I am working there! lol)!! Well...FINALLY about 8:30am all the kids started pouring in to the daycare! WOW again! We had 21 kids today! There were 7 kids out! (Some won't come because it is Spring Break, but the others still might show up tomorrow!) We

Wow! I'm getting close to 100 posts already! Can't believe it! I never knew I had so much stuff to write about myself. OK OK OK! I know...it's not ALL about me! lol Anyways.... yesterday was GREAT! We went to Sonrise Service at 6am! Then we had breakfast at church! Then, we came home and got dressed up (Easter Clothes) for Sunday School and Regular Morning Worship! Then we had lunch at church with the family! Then....wow...we did a lot yesterday....we came home and dyed Easter eggs. We hid the eggs twice for Chasity to find them. She loved it.... got a little angry when we told her it was time to come inside! lol (She threw flip flops at our heads! lol) Anyways...a little later we played Yatzee! as a family!! It was pretty cool! Chasity passed out around 9pm. We were expecting her to want to stay awake all night since she is officially on SPRING BREAK this week! :) I do have pics to put up.... unfortunately, I don't have a way to put them on here. A

So I haven't written anything in a while. It's really ok though. I don't think I'll die if I don't write anything....but.....I didn't want to take the chance too long! Anyways...things are good here. Tony was off work yesterday and so was my mom. So they went to eat lunch with Chasity at school. It was pretty cool to see her face light up like that. Of course, I have been at her school every day this week...except Wednesday...for new Kindergartner tours. It's that time again....people are registering Kindergartners for next year. Mainly, I sat in the Media Center with the Kindergarten teachers and did my homework! It was pretty cool! lol After lunch yesterday, we checked Chasity out early and headed home. Actually we headed to Larry King Chevrolet to get my car. It had been in the shop since Thursday.... it was time to have some work done to her. If I'm not mistaken, it was Bill Clinton who initiated the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy into the US Military..right? Anyways...the President doesn't matter. I just thought I'd add that part. However, my bathroom scale and I have a "Don't ask, Don't tell" relationship. I won't ask the scale how it figures the numbers, and it won't tell me anything I don't really like! lol That's a great relationship....right? So yesterday I weighed in again. I was dreading it because I had paid attention to my food, but I hadn't really be up and moving...because of homework that I HAD to get done! So I had basically been stuck on my backside doing work. I really didn't expect to see much of a change in my weight this week. HOWEVER....when I got on the scales yesterday, I weighed 375!!!! YES! THAT WAS MY REACTION TOO!!!! HOLY COW!! OHMIGOSH!!!! I lost 10 lbs! Not that I believed it of course. I got on the scale....s

I noticed the other day that I haven't ever really said HELLO to any of my followers! As of this morning, my follower number is at 14! Does anyone else think that's totally cool? I never really started this to have other people read it.... but.... since you guys are here.... THANKS! I appreciate the comments and knowing that you are reading! One day, I will tell you all my story...from the beginning. But...for today, I'll just say THANK YOU for reading my blog and I hope to catch up on some reading after the semester is over! Speaking of the semester, I only have a few more weeks left! I'm so excited! AND...I have registered for next Fall already! I'm even happier about that! My ONLY class will be an ONLINE class. I won't even have to go to the campus...which is 30-45 minutes away (depending on traffic, weather, and stop lights, of course)!! I just wanted to give a quick shout out to you guys/gals for reading! I haven't really had anything much to say lately. Actually, that's not true! I've had lots to say, but just haven't really wanted to take the time to say it. For example, I gained 5 lbs again! This time, I don't know how I did it! I just did! So now, I'm having to stress about that! Maybe I'm just supposed to stay this size until I get a job and can get more clothes! Clothes cost money....money I don't have until I get a job....a job I will hopefully have in August! So maybe I am going to shrink more after August! However...I am planning to continue trying NOW! Weight Watchers hasn't failed me; I've failed it! I'll get back on the wagon again! Girl Scouts are coming to an end soon. We still have a few more cookies to sale, but I think we might get those gone soon! Chasity has a few more things to do this year...then next year for the older Daisies, it will be easy patches. The NEW Daisies will have the harder ones to get! I ha
