Snow Day #2

So this week, we had another SNOW DAY! Have I said how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE snow? If not, I LOVE SNOW!!! This time the snow stuck around for a little while. Actually, the snow day was two days ago and we still have snow (in the shade)!!!

Here's Chas and Tony making a snowman on our deck. There were still 3" on the deck....we left that alone so they could make the snowman!

Yes! We were creative with the body parts for the snowman! His eyes are those prickly ball things from the trees behind the house. The nose is a lid from a soda bottle that was laying in the yard. The mouth and arms are twigs that we found in the yard!




Last, but not least, Chas and her daddy having a snowball fight! (Glad it wasn't me this time!)


I could use another 3-4 snow days, but I think the school system needs to build some in like they used to! They are taking away President's Day for the day we missed this week. If we miss anymore days, then they are going to start taking away Spring Break.
I love snow days! Obviously, so does Chas! :)

Emotional Easter

WARNING: This post is going to be REALLY long. Don't say you weren't warned! This is the post I have tried to convince myself not to write so that no one's feelings get hurt. Saving Money

Tony and I have always WANTED to save money. However, when we got married, we didn't start right away. Then two years later, Chasity was born. Then it was almost IMPOSSIBLE! Now, we've been married for 9 years, and we have VERY LITTLE actually saved. It seems like every time we get a little saved, something has to be fixed.... usually the car! lol It does need work now, but we're waiting.... but I don't think we can wait long. We know that when I actually get a teaching job, we'll be able to save about 1/3 (maybe more) of my paycheck every month....since we've been living for almost 4 years on just Tony's check anyways. However, I have decided that I want to start saving now! So.... here's my plan. It's really really hard....just kidding! The only thing I need to know is this.....Does Wal-Mart still match prices? Scheduling Appointments and Visiting the Doctor

Earlier today, I had to call Chasity's doctor's office. There are 7-8 doctors in the one office, so I know they are busy. However, if I call and need to ask a question or schedule an appointment, someone should answer the phone...right? Well...I pulled to the top of the hill at my driveway. While I checked for traffic, I dialed the doctor's number. I drove to Chasity's school. I asked for them to send Chasity to the office for check out. I waited on Chasity. I talked to Chasity's teacher. I put Chasity in the car. I drove to the doctor's office. Did any see that I had spoken to the doctor's office? No? That's because I hadn't! When I went in the office, I was STILL on hold. 20 minutes and 49 seconds to be exact. When it was my turn to talk to the nurse behind the counter, I hung up. I did however SHOW her my phone. I did NOT like the fact that I had been on hold for 20 minutes. I told her that I needed to have my daughter seen for ear pain. She said.
