I have decided that I want to write more often. I would love to write daily, but I may not be able to hold myself to that one....so more often than 2010 is good for now! Let's take this "one day at a time".

There are many things I need to reflect on from 2010....

  • losing my Grandmother
  • finishing student teaching
  • filing for my teaching license
  • Christmas

But for now, I'll focus on last night.

At church every year, we get together, starting at 9pm. We play games, eat, more games, definitely more eating, then we pray the new year in and the old year out. So last night we played "Mexican Train Dominoes"! LOVE IT! If you've never played, run out to WalMart and get your set today! It's SOOOOO fun!

As for everything else that I want to reflect on, that has to wait!

For today..... I woke up at 11am. I'm DVRing the Rose Parade (so I can watch without commercials later). I'm currently watching "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". Later, I'm going to be driving my daughter and my hubby around so Chasity can sell some Girl Scout cookies! It's that time AGAIN! :) She has a lofty goal this year! We'll see what she actually gets! :)

write, write, write! it's such a great way to examine life, thoughts, feelings.... it's a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment... and it's cathartic....

Emotional Easter

WARNING: This post is going to be REALLY long. Don't say you weren't warned! This is the post I have tried to convince myself not to write so that no one's feelings get hurt. Saving Money

Tony and I have always WANTED to save money. However, when we got married, we didn't start right away. Then two years later, Chasity was born. Then it was almost IMPOSSIBLE! Now, we've been married for 9 years, and we have VERY LITTLE actually saved. It seems like every time we get a little saved, something has to be fixed.... usually the car! lol It does need work now, but we're waiting.... but I don't think we can wait long. We know that when I actually get a teaching job, we'll be able to save about 1/3 (maybe more) of my paycheck every month....since we've been living for almost 4 years on just Tony's check anyways. My Strange Collection--But Not Strange to Me!

Recently (just a minute ago) I visited Avr over at Just to Write . Today she is talking about things we collect. She collects unicorns. So in her comments today, I added my comment: Well... I collect Salt & Pepper shakers. I have been collecting them as long as I can remember. The rule is that they have to be unusual AND I don't buy them for myself! They have to come from other people....My Grandmother has the beginnings of my collection at her house. Some of them date back to WWII. Her uncle sent them here from overseas when he was fighting in WWII. So that is why I started collecting.... HOWEVER... I too have a collection of unicorn stuff. It has been packed up for a couple years now. I have seriously thought about putting it on eBay just to get rid of it. I started collecting those on my 7th bday.
