1025 and 6 Hours of Softball

Many of the countdowns in my world are slowly getting smaller and smaller.  It’s exciting.  This time next week, I will be able to say that we have SINGLE DIGIT weeks left in school.

This week, we have a snow make-up day.  We were supposed to be out of school on Friday, but we are having a snow make-up day instead.  The best part is that it is only a HALF day! Smile

What is 1025??  That is the number of boxes of cookies that the Princess ended up selling.  She earned her iPad mini!  She will get it at the beginning of May (supposedly) at the celebration for kids who sold more than 500 boxes of cookies!  We are excited!  For us, it will be the first (personally owned) i-anything in the house.  We are Android people, except for Tony’s work phone.  Smile

Our softball team is pretty cool.  We have a couple of girls who have never played before, but that comes with any rec team.  This year, we have 13 girls, and only 4 (maybe 5) of them have never played.  The rest have all played somewhere before.  Our regular practice night is Friday.  Last week, we had a practice on Monday (indoors because it was raining).  You’d be amazed at what you can still practice INSIDE for softball.  Then we had a long practice on Friday evening… days are getting longer around here!

On Saturday, we had a mini camp.  The girls arrived at 2pm and we practiced until about 8pm.  Yes, the coach did order pizza to feed them!  It was cool.  After pizza, they practiced underhand tosses using eggs!  LOL  It was fun to watch.  I wish I would have had my camera.  I could have gotten some great pics of it!  Smile

Countdown update:

5 days until we get uniforms (5/28)

6 days until 1st softball game (3/29)

5 weeks until Easter (Spring Break begins)

10 weeks until the end of the school year!

After that, we don’t have much to countdown to…. until school starts again! lol

That’s CRAZY stuff!
