Changing My Major

 In August 2019, I started a 2nd Master's degree. I went into the M.A. Professional Writing program at Liberty University. 

After the first semester of classes, I decided to change my major, but I did not do it until last week. I officially changed my major to the M.F.A. in Creative Writing.

When I grow up, I want to be a writer! 

I am a writer, but I want to be a professional writer. I have ideas in my head for a book, and they have been there for years. I do not know how to get them out of my head an onto a page. I think I just need to sit down and do it. 

That comes back to my will power and time management skills. I really do not have either of those. I desperately NEED both of those.

For now, I will continue to write here. I want to begin formatting this blog a little differently than it is. I want to monetize. I want to vlog, but I haven't figured out editing yet. I want to do a podcast, but again....editing. I can edit my writing, but I'm not very good with technology. That's why my blog is visually boring.  (I'm working on that!) 

I have a wish list of things I want to do for the blog, book, podcasts.  I also have a list of things that MUST be done for class. 

For now....I focus on class and everything else is a distant 2nd!

Weight Update!!

Last week, I didn't weigh myself because I was sick! Plus, I didn't really eat anything much at all last week. I did, however, register for Weight Watchers online. So I did spend time reading up and learning about the program. Today, I got on the scale. Two weeks ago, I weighed 402. Today, I weigh 390! In two weeks, I have lost another 12 lbs. That makes a total of 26 lbs. so far! I'm excited! Yeah, if you look at the previous post about my weight, it says that I started at 412. Yeah... I looked at the paper wrong. I started at 416. I lost 4 lbs the first week. I lost 4 lbs the second week. I lost 6 lbs the third week. Then I didn't weigh in last week. I weighed in today at 12 lbs down! I can tell it mostly in my pants. I HATE for my pants to be baggy, so I buy them to fit! Yesterday, I wore my black dress pants to church and I had to keep pulling them up. I'm going shopping next Sunday with my mom! I'm so happy! Still Learning

Ok...so I'm always learning something new. However, recently, I have seriously been thinking about something. I want to learn to sew. My mom has a sewing machine I can use any time I want to. Of course, if I really learn to sew, I'd want my own sewing machine! ;) Anyways, I have been checking into classes. I have only found one place in my town that does classes. They offer a 4 week class for $115. That's not bad for a class. But, I'm afraid I wouldn't learn in 4 weeks and I'd need to take the class again! lol Anyways, I'm still looking into it. I'd love to learn. I will one day. However, I've seen some REALLY cute things that I'd love to sew for Chasity to wear! :) Until next time........

NC Weather

In the state of NC, we rarely get that BIG SNOW. They used to be more common.  We used to get one huge snow a year.  Now, we are lucky if we get one every 2-3 years.    However, schools are cancelled, delayed, or let out early for weather all the time here.  We haven’t heard anything today about our schools, but we shall see.    It’s all about waiting to see what happens.  Sometimes, I think that God is sitting up there showing us HIS sense of humor.  He lets the weather people tell us whatever they want to tell us.  Then HE decides to have some fun with the weather.  (That’s just my 2 cents!)   Countdown Updates: 0 days until I pick up cookies!  TODAY is the day! They are still calling for “weather,” but they are pushing back the start time to later today. My scheduled pick up time is 6pm. So, we shall see.  It should be fine.
