Planning

I just spent the last hour-and-a-half trying to call Girl Scout parents. I have 12 girls this year (counting Chasity) and I only got to speak to 7 parents. I guess that really isn't bad. Ok....technically, I talked to 8. I told my hubby everything that I told all the other parents. So I only missed 4. Two have messages. The other two didn't have working phone numbers....so I emailed! I hope that they get the information and show up on Monday night for the meeting. We are going to have Game Night so the girls can get to know each other! I think that will be a great way for them to get to meet each other and not have to introduce themselves 500 times! Anyways....all the Nut and Magazine money is due on Monday. I have 3 other parents that I'm hoping are selling stuff. If not, then Chasity will get all the goodies from the sale! She's sold close to $200 in nuts! That's without my order! Tony and I (and my mommy) will be ordering magazines. I think that wi

Weddings

I absolutely love weddings. Last year I helped plan my "baby" sister's wedding. It was amazing! She was so beautiful! Tomorrow, I get to see one of my best friends get married. I can honestly say that I have never been to a Sunday wedding before. I have attended outdoor weddings, hotel weddings, church weddings, but I have never been to a Sunday wedding....anywhere! I was REALLY surprised when I got the invite. I didn't know that she was dating anyone. So getting a wedding invitation really threw me for a loop! I screamed "Ohmigosh! Ginger is getting married!" I almost cried! I called my mom! I called my sister! Three days later I called the bride's mom to reply for my entire family! :) It was AWESOME! We talked for awhile about everything. Ginger is now living about 1/2 hour away from me.....instead of the two hours she was living before. Right now, she's staying with her soon-to-be mother-in-law. After tomorrow, she's going to m

Busy

(To the tune of Patsy Cline's "Crazy") Busy.... I'm busy from saying "I'll help you". Busy... I'm busy from saying "You Too". I knew I'd get in way over my head now. So I'm busy from helping, Busy from trying, I'm busy from being nice. Sorry.... just thought I'd get that out. I've been singing it in my head. :) Have you ever just totally over-extended yourself? No? Let me tell you what it looks like. 1. 3 Mondays a month for Girl Scouts. 2. PTO Fundraising Coordinator 3. Full time Graduate Student 4. Full time Mommy 5. Church responsiblilities 6. Girl Scout Service Unit Team responsibilities WOW! When I really think about it, I do have a lot that I'm doing. I told people I would do stuff. Now, I really am just tired. I probably should have just said I'd HELP the PTO. But... NO.... I took a position on the board. I should have just said I would HELP with the GS Team. But... NO... I took FOUR positions.

Ponderings

Have you ever wondered how God does it all? Seriously there are BILLIONS of people and HE takes care of all of us. It doesn't matter if you believe in Him or not, He's still in control. Anyways, He's been working overtime for our family recently!! All praise goes to Him! First, Tony went in a couple weeks ago for an Upper GI something or other. (I was so scared when I heard the doc say that he might have intestinal cancer that I forgot to listen to what kind of test he was going to do on Tony.) Anyways, Tony went in for the test. They put him to sleep. The test was on a Tuesday. Well on Sunday before, we had laid hands on Tony and prayed that the doctor wouldn't find anything wrong with him. So.... When the doctor came out to talk to us (me and the Pastor) while Tony was still in "recovery" and waking up, the doc said..."I didn't find any. I did a biopsy just to be sure, but I don't expect that anything will be wrong with that. I have no

Blog Deleted

So, I just thought I'd let everyone (if anyone actually reads this) know that I have deleted my poetry blog. I currently have this blog, a blog for my English assignments, and a Girl Scout troop blog. I'm hoping to be able to keep all of them up! :) Anyways... no more posting poetry for me... well... I can't really say that. I'll probably put some up here from time-to-time. Until next time........

I can not believe that I have posted 150 times now! :) This is exciting! Maybe I should do a give-a-way! Ok! Maybe at 200! We'll see! Anyways.... I want to share some of my FAVORITE quotes today! Ok...so they aren't necessarily the world's most famous quotes. There are only 3 of them, and I personally said/wrote two of them. My most favorite quote of all times is: "If going through life and you find yourself lost, go back to the last place you knew who you were and what you were doing and start there!" Carol Stack I heard Carol give a lecture when I was a freshman at ASU! I wrote that quote on my paper...it was how she started her lecture! I have had it stuck in my brain and on my walls ever since! Next are two quotes I wrote recently in response to a couple of classmates in my English class. (My new blog is Literally Leslie....btw! It is where I am putting a good bit of my English assignments!) Anyways, we posted some things on our blogs, so our grou

According to my Dashboard, I have 16 followers currently! (Yippee!!) So now I need your help! I have to create a blog (using Blogger/Blogspot) for my English Class. YES! It's an assignment! Thank you so much! Until next time........

Today's the Day

In just a few hours, I have a meeting with my academic advisor at UNCC. I am going to talk to her about my internship for the Spring. After that meeting, I am going to try to get some help in the computer lab for my ePortfolio. I just found out the other day that I have to re-do it because the teacher that had me set it up....well....she's new (I hope!) and she told us the wrong way to set it up. So I have to re-do my ePortfolio. Of course, I didn't know I was supposed to be adding stuff to it every semester either. She didn't tell us that either. So.....now that I have to re-do it, I can do it correctly from the beginning and not have to go back to do it again! :) Tomorrow I have to call to make an appointment with the College of Education so I can do my interview for placement. I think that is how they decide where to put me for next year. Of course, I know where I WANT them to put me, but I might not get that! In January, I have the Praxis II test. In May, I'

It's Been Awhile

I can't believe how long it's been. I haven't written anything in awhile. Ok, so that's not completely true. I have written stuff for my eBay items. I have written stuff for homework. So.... I have written, but just not here. In the past week, we have gone to an Intimidator's ballgame. We hung out with Donnie for his birthday! (For a couple more months, he's "officially" 4 years older than me!) We have worked on the house. Actually, *I* have been working on the house. I got our room almost finished. It was getting kind of messy. Chasity's room just needs new bed stuff.... then we can accessorize! I'll have to put pics of that up later. I have signed a new Mary Kay team member, sold 4 things on eBay (many more still in the office to list), got my hair cut, and found out that my best friend in the entire world is getting married in TWO WEEKS! OMG! I screamed when I got the invite! Ok, so let me tell you about her. Have you ever had
