My Weekend Thoughts

I had planned to say something about the ban on travel that President Trump put into place over the weekend. I had planned to say something about the anniversary of Trayvon Martin's death and what his parents are now doing to help us remember him. I had planned to talk about a lot of things that happened nationally over the weekend. However.... I have decided that it's not time for me to talk about that yet. It's time for me to talk about what happened to my family over the weekend. First.... On Friday, the Princess had an ear infection. We know this because the stuff was draining from her ear. She has a hole in her right ear drum from when she had tubes from age 2-6. (It wouldn't come out and they had to go back in to get it. It left a hole.) Anyways, I dropped her off at school and called the doctor. They told me they didn't have anything available for us to come in on Friday. I wasn't very happy (or polite) when I asked them why they even tell peop...

Day 13—Health

Today, I’m thankful for our health.   Tony is tired. That could be because he works to hard.   I have allergies. But… well…I’m used to those.   The Princess has an ear infection. We got the antibiotic yesterday. It started on Saturday. She was screaming in pain then. Now, it’s just eewy-gooey stuff that’s draining from it.  In a couple of days, she will be back to normal.   I’m glad that for the past couple of years, we have not had to worry about flu, colds, or any of those big illnesses that have gone around. The LORD has been good to keep us healthy!

400th post and other news

So yesterday, 1/2/13, was my 400th post!  I really should keep up with things like that!  Of course, I am hoping that I will almost double (or really double) the number of posts I had (total) by the end of 2013.  Some days, I just feel like there is nothing to write.  Some days I just don't have time to write.  Some days, I feel like if I write what I want to, you will not want to read it.  Anyways.... This year, since we moved, I moved the Princess to a new school.  (I never should have done that!)  However, I did.  We really aren't impressed with the school.  But, it's the district we live in.  So, I guess she will be there ONE more year....next year for 5th grade.  Then she will go to middle school.  (Her middle school has a new principal this year, and I really like her.  I'm hoping she will stick around until Chasity gets there...and is finished there.) The latest problem is that my munchkin has ear inf...

ENT Visit

So yesterday at the ENT, we got really good news! There's no hole in Chasity's right ear. The TUBE is still in there! The pediatrician just couldn't see if for all of the wax and infection that were (are) in there. We go back in two weeks. The ENT is going to talk to us about taking the tubes out. They have been in for 3 years already. We thought they were going to come out naturally. NOPE! Why does Chasity have to do everything the hard way? (She MIGHT get it from her mother!) But for now.... we're rejoicing in the fact that Chasity doesn't have a hole in her ear drum and that it has not ruptured. She just still has a tube in there draining all the infection off of her ear! Praise the Lord! Until next time.......

I'm Baaaaccck....

As I get older, I sometimes think that I am OCD. NOt as much as the guy in "As Good as It Gets" but still OCD. However, after the week I've had, I think I might seriously be bipolar. The other day I said that I had been in a bad mood. Yeah....a VERY bad mood. I would scream. I would cry. I would pout. I don't know what was wrong with me. However, a couple of days later, I woke up and I was happy. I used to blame it on stress... or PMS. However, I don't have either of those right now! So, I think I'm going to seriously talk to my doctor about testing me (is there a test) for being bipolar. We had a very event filled weekend. Thursday evening, Chasity had her ballet rehearsal. Then on Friday evening, she performed in "The Lion King" ballet with her dance studio. Saturday morning, she had rehearsal for her Saturday evening performance. She danced to "Tutti Frutti" and "Car Wash". The theme this year was "Celebrate: ...
