The Wait is Over

For months now, we have all been waiting to see how the election would turn out. Now, the wait is over. What do we do now? Most of us will go on living our normal lives. Yes, there will be some changes. Yes, there will be new laws. Yes, there will be things we agree with and disagree with. I'm not telling for whom I voted. Those close to me, who know my views and beliefs, know that answer. Do I think that there would be problems or issues no matter how the election turned out? YES!!! No one is perfect. If you are a Donald Trump fan, he's not perfect. There's no way he can do EVERYTHING he promised.  Even though he has a Republican House AND Senate, he will not get them to do everything he wants done. On the other hand, if the shoe were on the other foot and Hillary Clinton had won, she wouldn't be able to do everything either. Even if Congress had been turned blue with her, they wouldn't agree on everything. With that many people having to vote and agr...

Oklahoma

For me, and my musical brain, it’s hard to say “Oklahoma” without singing it.  You know…. “Oklahoma’s O k l a h o m a.  Oklahoma’s OK!”    (I think that’s right…it’s been 100 years since I’ve actually seen the musical or heard the music.  Need to dig that up!)   Anyways…..   Today, my heart goes out to all the people in Oklahoma who were devastated by the tornado.  The videos and pictures are horrible, but I’m sure they aren’t even close to showing all the destruction.    When I first heard about it, I did a Google Map search to see if my best friend/”brother” was close to it.  About 100 miles away.  Safe!  However, there are many who are not far away and safe.   Please keep these people—the parents, teachers, friends, family, volunteers, Red Cross, and our Country—in your prayers.  They need us more than ever now.

Sometimes Good Things Happen

Until I get the official notification via email/USPS, I will only say that there is a very good chance that the Princess will be changing schools next year.    We went to the official lottery yesterday afternoon.  Her number was drawn.    However, I am not giving more details until I get the paperwork in my hand.    I know that God has worked this out.  Sometimes, my “doubting Thomas self,” needs to see it in black and white before I shout it from the roof tops!     But…. I promise…. I will be shouting it!  It is an awesome thing that the Lord has worked out for us, for the Princess!     On a different note, please remember my pastor and his family in your prayers.  They told him last night that his father (earthly father) only has about a week left.   I know it is going to kill him when it happens.  Just pray that God will give him the peace he needs for the situation.

Biopsy

So, I am home.  I went for my biopsy this morning.  I have such a wonderful support system.  My mom was there .  Tony was there.  My dad, who isn't supposed to be in waiting rooms, was there.  One of my best friends, Nannette, was there.  I was there, but didn't want to be.  All I wanted to do was cry!  So I did. While I was on the table, they said, "Go to your happy place".  Where is my happy place? This morning it was in prayer.  So I was on the table praying silently. They kept asking "Are you ok?"  So I would answer, "God's got a plan".  (That's the family motto!) For now, the tears are gone.  The waiting has begun.  I should have results by Friday.....or so they say.

Pray for Kaleigh's Family!

Image
Right now my heart is saddened as I just read that sweet Kaleigh Anne Freeman left this world last night. Although we all know that she is in Heaven and her little body has been made new and she is not in any pain or discomfort any more, it is hard to see a baby pass on. I know that prayers kept her alive for almost 11 months. Now, we can only pray that God will continue to comfort the family and close friends who are suffering and grieving now. Kaleigh's life (as short as it was) was a miracle, and God used her to touch many people. We can only hope that God will now touch her family to continue their lives without that precious baby. Pray for the Freeman family in their time of loss. Until next time........

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama . You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. Of course, I think she has taken a little time off of Not Me Mondays! because her Sweet Stellan is in the hospital! He has been there for over a month now! We really should all band together and pray for Baby Stellan! So... I have NOT been busy this weekend! 1. First, it was not me who had my mom wake up before sun-up on Saturday morning so I could borrow her truck. I had to get the yard sale stuff to the church so that I could have the yard sale! I was NOT the one half asleep and attempting to do homework while people were shopping at the yard sale! Of course, I did not take all the extra Girl Scout cookies and put them on the table to try to sell them either! (Sold about 10 boxes! lol) 2. I did finish my 3 stories and my essay for the week. However, since the two page reading responses for each week of the 8...
