The Last Monday

Image
I know you guys are probably getting tired of hearing about my countdown.    I’m just so excited that the Princess is almost finished with this year at school.    So….today is THE LAST MONDAY for her (and me).  After Friday of this week, she can hang out, watch TV, play/read on her Kindle Fire, and relax……until August.   Of course, she LOVES to read, so we will see how many books she reads this summer.   I’m still trying to get some writing jobs for the summer. Just to make a little extra cash.  There are some that are for doing book reviews.  I would love to do those.     But….for now, I’m going to enjoy my last Monday.  Even though it’s pouring rain outside.

Monday...Again

How is it possible that it is Monday again?  Really? Didn't we just have Monday last week? WOW!  I can't believe this is the last Monday with my current kids!  Today is a review day.  Then we have exams tomorrow-Friday.  Next Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, and Tuesday is a teacher workday.  I do not have to work (at my school) on Monday, but I will be working at the daycare so Mom can take Dad to the doctor.  I may not have to work Tuesday either.  It just depends on how much stuff I can get done during exams and after school on the days that the kids get out early this week (Tuesday-Friday).  I might get TWO days off next week. :) Then Wednesday.... well.... I get all "new" kids.  "New" because they are teenagers, but NEW because I have never had them before. :) I get to do EVERYTHING over again!  (That is the coolest thing about High School!)  If you mess it up in first semester, you get to try it again...

Today is Monday! So I thought I'd give an explanation for the "Six Word Saturday" that I posted. As if one is really needed.... Thursday...game. We won. Friday...game. We won. Saturday...game. We lost. Actually.... to be honest the other coach cheated and we should have tied and gone into overtime. However... I am trying really hard to be nice (NOW!). I was very rude and ill on Saturday as it happened and immediately after the game. I went so far as to try call the other coach a "cheating jerk who doesn't know anything about playing by the rules". Luckily...after hearing what he had done, other parents and some of the other coaches felt the same way. NO! I didn't go make an announcement, although I felt like it! The parents and other coaches were there.... it was the first of two possible Championship games. If we had won (which we would have in OT) we would have played again. Unfortunately, the coach added a player in the middle of the ...
