It HAS Arrived!

I'm so happy that my computer has finally arrived! I got it almost as soon as I got home from picking up Chasity! I have had it on already, but I'm typing this one last message on my sister's computer. Right now, I'm going to close down this computer. Unplug it... get it ready to go back home to my sister. Then I'm going to clean off my desk! I'm so excited! :) Then.... I'm going to finish my paper and submit it online. After that, I'm going to put some stuff on eBay. I could really use some cash right about now! :) I'm so HAPPY!!!!! My computer has arrived! Until next time........

Computer Woes

Well, this time it's not a broken computer. This time it is bad timing. lol So I was here ALL day and left only long enough to get Chasity from school. The FedEx man/woman came while I was gone to deliever my new computer. Since I have to sign for it, they couldn't leave it! :( So... maybe tomorrow they will come BEFORE or AFTER I leave to get Chasity. Otherwise I'll be chasing my computer for the next couple of days. lol Anyways....I DO have a new computer! I guess I'll get it tomorrow! lol Until next time........

Memories.....

...like the corner of my mind. Precious watercolored memories....."! Ok, so I'm a little sappy this morning. My little girl now will not even let me call her my "little" girl--in public anyways. I have to call her by her name or I can call her my "big" girl. As you know, she turned 6 a week ago today. She has lost two teeth, and now she thinks she is a BIG girl! :) I guess she is. I just can't believe how much she has really grown in the past couple of years. I remember the first day I took her to daycare (ok, it was really just my mom's house because mom was watching kids at her house at the time). I cried the whole way to work. I called my mom and threatened to quit my job so that I could be at home with Chasity. Last year was hard. She started Kindergarten. However, it's not so bad. We adjusted. She was awesome! This year, I'm a little misty-eyed because I can't believe that she's really 6 and in the first grade!

Not My Child Monday!

Image
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama . You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else (and their children) have not been doing this week. My child is perfect! I just want you to know this! She NEVER does anything wrong! Of course, if she were to do something wrong, it would not be any of the following funny things. My child did not leave me in WalMart to go to the other side of the store to find my mom. Nope! She would never do that because she knows that leaving my side without telling me freaks me out. So she wouldn't do it. She would especially not do it twice in one trip! No, not my child! My child would not eat breakfast and come up to me 30 minutes later t osay "Mommy, is it time for snack?". No. My child knows that we space meals and snacks out so that she's not eating every 30-45 minutes. Nope, my child would not do that. Of course, if she were to do that. She definitely would not plan her snack (a

School Open House

So...tonight we went to the Open House for Chasity's school! WOW! The PTO stuff was absolutely fun! Then... Then, we found out who Chasity's teacher is. I have spoken to a few teachers over the summer, and I have opinions of a couple of them. I knew who I wanted her to have and I knew who I did NOT want her to have. So... So, we went to the lady with the list. Chasity said, "My name is Chasity..........Who is my teacher?" She found her name. She followed the line across the page. She said, "Chasity......... You have Ms. L." I was so excited! It was exactly who I wanted her to have! I squealed with excitement and jumped up and down while clapping. I know....it may sound stupid, but if you can get your kid in a class where you and the teacher speak the same "language", then it will work better. I had waited for 3 days to find out who she had....the teachers found out on Wednesday, but couldn't tell me. :( Then when I got there ton

Examiner.com

Well, I have been unemployed for a while. Yes, it's "technically" by choice, but right now it's because of the hours I need. I have heard from friends who have already taken the class that I have this semester that I have about 60-80 hours of Clinicals/Observations to do. That's only about 5 hours a week, so that's not as bad as it first sounded. However, since Chasity is in school (and we don't have the funds to pay for before/after school care) I need to make arrangements or find a way to get her to/from school on the days that I have to be in the schools. The Spring semester is going to be even rougher. I will have a full-time internship (unless I have a full-time teaching job)....which would be AWESOME!!! (Keep praying for that one!) :) Anyways.....I went to CareerBuilder and searched for Freelance Writing positions. I never thought about that before, but I received a Spam mail about it and it made me think. If I could find a Freelance job, I

Just Frustrated

**Warning** The following is somewhat negative!! **Warning** Ever just been frustrated? I am... I have many reasons why, but I just am! I have been in a slump for a couple days (well... working on weeks now) and it's getting old. I'm just frustrated. Every night I don't want to eat what is offered to me. I don't want to make the effore to get/make anything else. I just want to complain about it. I just like to complain right now. My hair has gotten so long that I am having to keep it pulled up. Pulling my hair up causes migraines. So I am having headaches everyday from having my hair pulled up. Since I'm not working, I have to either ask for the money or wait until it is offered to me. Right now, I'm waiting on my Financial Aid money from school to get here. I'm just frustrated. I emailed my professor for my class this semester. I asked her what books we are using for the class. That was on Aug. 6th. On Aug. 7th, she emailed me with a list of b

Another One Bites the Dust...

Actually, another one can't bite anything. Chasity (who just turned 6 yesterday) just lost her 2nd tooth. She lost the first one last week. The Tooth Fairy was really nice to her. She left $5 for her. *wink wink* Now... she just came into the office and said, "Mom, Here's my tooth". It didn't bleed or anything thing. I guess it was just ready to come out. That's great though! She said that it didn't hurt either. I asked her if she was playing with it. She tried to convince me that she wasn't. However.... I did find out that she was! (It was obvious though!) Now... on the bottom row in the front she has a two-tooth wide gap! It's kind of cute! Until next time........

Updated.....

I just updated my other blog...... check it out! It's HERE .... at Poetry by Leslie Jackson. It only took 3 months to put a new one up! lol Maybe I'll start to keep up with things better now! (Yeah right! Who am I kidding!) Until next time........

So much to say...

Have you ever had so much to do that you didn't know what to do first? Well, some of my stuff has actual dates on it. Like this weekend, we had Chasity's birthday party. A couple friends from school came. My entire family came. And... some people from church (who are close to us and who don't even have kids came)! It was great! There were two kiddie pools.... lots of water stuff to play with. The party lasted almost 4 hours by the time we got the last kid out of the water! Chasity was so adorable. She picked out a beautiful outfit to wear...before getting in the water. She got lots of really cool stuff (and more money than I currently have! lol)!!! Anyways... that's done and I can mark that off my calendar. However, I have a PTO luncheon coming up that I'm helping to serve the teachers for "Back to School". That's Wednesday. Then I'm scrapbooking on Saturday. I've been invited to a jewelry party on Friday night. Also, I start my c

My Little Girl is Growing Up

I can't believe that I haven't blogged in a week! I've been so busy with everything here that I just totally didn't take the time! I had a list of things to do for a "Not Me Monday" post, but I guess they'll have to wait until next Monday! My classes at UNCC start on Monday. This semester, I only have ONE class, and it's online! I don't have to go to campus.... except to do the interview for my Internship Application for Spring semester. I really have to talk to my advisor because in reading over the requirements, I haven't met them. And...there's no way to meet them all before January! Anyways...that's a different story for a different time! Last night, Chasity lost her first tooth. We noticed right before we left for the beach that she had two loose teeth. Both of them were in the middle of the front (on the bottom). She has only played with them a little (because we told her that the Tooth Fairy couldn't find her at the

Beach Wrap-Up, Girl Scout Day Camp, and Other Useless Information

WOW! I can't believe that I have been home since Sunday. We left around noon on Sunday to head this way. After stopping at a shop or two, we finally hit TRAFFIC! lol What better way to spend your day....right? As soon as I got home, I had to start working on stuff to finish up for Girl Scout Day Camp. That started Monday morning. I have been there all day every day this week. It is hot, but I think it's worth it! The girls are loving it! Chasity is there as a Daisy. She is loving it! Today, they had the pumper truck from the Fire Department come out. They sprayed water on the girls. YES.... the parents were forewarned about this! Today was "Water Day" so all afternoon, the girls were outside playing in water and water games. I am looking forward to getting some rest next week. I totally need a vacation from my vacation. BUT..... I had day camp so there went the rest. Now, I'm just trying to make it past tomorrow so that I can sleep a little on Sat
