Time Flies

My high school band director used to say "Time's fun when you're having flies!" I always thought that was funny. I don't know why! :) Friday night, Tony found Chasity's pics from her 2nd birthday! She really DID have one! lol I was beginning to think I dreamed it! Later that evening, I went to the Crop with my friend. I finished Chasity's second book. Next time, I get to start on her 3rd book. Right now, it's going to be very small. I can only find Christmas and her 4th birthday! I'll add more when I can find more! lol I can't wait to start on her other books that I have to print pics for. I have LOTS of pics to put in them! :) Saturday, our Girl Scout troop went to Plaster Creations! It's an awesome place where you can pick a plaster piece and paint it (check out that alliteration)!! You dry it with a hair dryer. They seal it. You take it home the same day! I have pics of the pieces for a different post! Sunday we had an

Scrapping

At 6pm tonight, I am going to a Creative Memories crop with a friend of mine. She is an awesome consultant. We have been hanging out for a while now! I started Chasity's 1st book in October 2008. I finished it about a year later. It was HUGE! Plus... I had to learn how to do things! It covers from the 1st ultrasound photo to her 1st Birthday. Now I'm working on her 2nd book. Somehow, I have misplaced several months of pictures. I know that I was still using my 35mm then. I know I had to have the film developed. However, I also know that I had friends/family there taking pics also. Unfortunately, NONE of us can find pics from Chasity's 2nd birthday. I have no pictures of Chasity to put in her book from May 2005-August 2005. Then, I have only a FEW pics of 2006. I know that SOME of the missing 2006 pics are on my digital camera memory card. I looked at them earlier today! Those start right around Christmas 2006. I do have her 3rd birthday pics. Right now, thoug

Busy Days

Yesterday and today have been pretty busy! It's a good thing though! I HATE being bored! So what have I been up to? Well, yesterday (Wednesday) was my 9 year wedding anniversary. So Tony, Chasity and I went to my FAVORITE place to eat! We went to Olive Garden! We got there at a really good time. We got in, got seated, got our food, and got out in less than 90 minutes! That's a NEW record for us! lol (We weren't trying to set a record....it just happened!) Tony got me 2 $25 gift certificates to a nail salon! He's so awesome! :) Either he's awesome or he's tired of my scratchy feet! lol Let's go with AWESOME! Also yesterday, I spent most of the day with my mom. We got the dress sewn together for Chasity. No! I totally forgot to take my camera! However, I'll take pics tomorrow before we hem it. We also have to figure out how we are going to hook the straps. I don't like what the pattern calls for.... not for my FIRST attempt! We still

Answers to Your Questions

A couple weeks ago, I asked you to pose questions to me about anything. Not many of you asked me anything....actually only ONE of you did. So.... the question I received was "If someone left you $500 in your mailbox (no strings attached) what would you do with it?" (submitted by Phyllis at Just Bcauz ) First, I'd definitely pay my tithes on it at church. Then..... Hmmm..... right now, if I found it today, I would totally make reservations for a week at the beach! My uncle's beach house may be over reserved for this summer. So, I might not get that beach trip since we don't have the extra money to spend on the room for a week. :( However.... if the beach trip was already paid for (or if I got the money in the middle of the school year), I'd use it for me some new clothes and shoes. Of course, I'd buy the munchkin some new clothes too.... but not many because she has LOTS of clothes already! Until next time........Don't forget to become a fan of Ch

Need Some Help

Hey guys/gals! I need you to help me out! If you have a FaceBook account, I am in a contest over there. A friend of mine has a new business called Chunky Dunk Deserts . She is running a contest for referrals/fans for her FaceBook page. If I win, I will get a Birthday cake and some dunked pretzels. I'm not keeping the cake for myself. I'm giving it to a friend of mine for her daughter's birthday. She's a single mom and needs a little help! We've all needed the help of our friends at some point...right? So I'm just trying to help her a little. So... head over to Chunky Dunk Deserts on FaceBook (by clicking the name) or searching for it on FaceBook or by clicking HERE . Please.... just become a fan of the page and post a message on the wall that "Leslie Jackson" sent you! Thanks so much! Until next time........

This is what I won from Basement Bags . Go check her out! She has an awesome "Bag of the Month" right now! I love my travel set! Now.... to where.... should I.... travel? Until next time........

I'm a Winner..... and a Slacker!

So as you know, I won the Basement Bags Girl give away from The World From My Basement . I received my goodies and have been showing them off to EVERYONE. Everyone....except you guys. I totally keep forgetting to put pics up here. So.... I plan to do that in just a little bit (since I'm not with my camera at this moment). However.... I just received a comment on a recent post stating that I won the Scrapbooking Giveaway at Amaria's Reviews and Giveaways. If you click here , it will take you to a link of the post for the giveaway! All the goodies in that picture are mine.... and should be shipped to me soon. (I should probably give her my address....right?) I have a big scrapbooking thing coming up on May 21-22! I can't wait to TELL everyone about what I won! :) So.... I'll have pics of the Basement Bags goodies up in just a bit! Until next time........

Mother's Day Weekend

WOW! I can't believe everything that we did this weekend. Saturday, Chasity and I slept in. Tony had to work; Chasity and I didn't even hear the alarm clock. Then, Saturday afternoon, we went to the park. My mom's family--all of her siblings that are still with us (two sisters have passed already)--met at the park! We were celebrating my 91 year old grandma! We were there for about 3 hours. Then we came home, cleaned up, and chilled out for the rest of the night. Sunday morning, when I got out of the shower, Tony and Chasity surprised me with pink roses. Chasity also made me a little mouse of clay and painted it. (I'll try to put up pics of this stuff.) And I had TWO cards! I was so excited just to be a mom! At church, my Secret Sister (who will be revealed at Christmas) gave me a bag of goodies... mostly scrapbooking stuff! :) Then the church gave out prizes for the oldest mom--it was a lady from our church who doesn't get to come often! I'm so gla

Bitter Sweet

Today is bitter sweet for me. Today would have been my last day as a student teacher. Today would have been the day that I submitted for my NC Teaching License. Today would have been the day that I could have called all the people I talked to in February at the Education Job Fair to let them know I was ready for a job. Today would have been the day that I could say that I succeed. However..... Today is the day that I'm meeting with another Girl Scout leader to plan a camping trip for June. Today is the day I'm looking for deals online for our summer vacation. Today is the day I get to do a couple more loads of laundry. Today is the day I get to think about the reason that I didn't complete my student teaching this semester. Today is the day I get to miss my Grandmother again. Today, I get to work on forgiving myself for being so mad (at me) for not finishing school this semester. Most of all.... Today is the day that God reminded me that He has everything under control if

Q & A

So I have quite a few new readers here. So instead of doing a boring "This is Me" or "All about me" post, I thought I'd see what you guys want to know about me. So..... in the comments, leave questions that you want answered about me. I will answer ALMOST anything. Until next time........

ENT Visit

So yesterday at the ENT, we got really good news! There's no hole in Chasity's right ear. The TUBE is still in there! The pediatrician just couldn't see if for all of the wax and infection that were (are) in there. We go back in two weeks. The ENT is going to talk to us about taking the tubes out. They have been in for 3 years already. We thought they were going to come out naturally. NOPE! Why does Chasity have to do everything the hard way? (She MIGHT get it from her mother!) But for now.... we're rejoicing in the fact that Chasity doesn't have a hole in her ear drum and that it has not ruptured. She just still has a tube in there draining all the infection off of her ear! Praise the Lord! Until next time.......

I'm Baaaaccck....

As I get older, I sometimes think that I am OCD. NOt as much as the guy in "As Good as It Gets" but still OCD. However, after the week I've had, I think I might seriously be bipolar. The other day I said that I had been in a bad mood. Yeah....a VERY bad mood. I would scream. I would cry. I would pout. I don't know what was wrong with me. However, a couple of days later, I woke up and I was happy. I used to blame it on stress... or PMS. However, I don't have either of those right now! So, I think I'm going to seriously talk to my doctor about testing me (is there a test) for being bipolar. We had a very event filled weekend. Thursday evening, Chasity had her ballet rehearsal. Then on Friday evening, she performed in "The Lion King" ballet with her dance studio. Saturday morning, she had rehearsal for her Saturday evening performance. She danced to "Tutti Frutti" and "Car Wash". The theme this year was "Celebrate:
