  If I have said it once, I've said it a million times, I love writing. I want to be able to make a living at it. I would love to build this blog so that it will make money. How do I do that?  There are several ways, but getting consistent with writing, planning out my posts, and getting consistent views are some of the ways.  Obviously, if I am consistent with my writing, the views will come. In order to be consistent in writing, I have to get my posts planned. I have a notebook with a list and several planned out posts. Do I actually sit and type them? NO! Should I? For the past few months, Tony and I have been toying with the idea of homeschool. We went to the Homeschool Conference in Winston-Salem back in May. We got many questions answered and came up with many more questions to ask. I kept researching. We actually planned out what curriculum we would use. We talked to the family about it. Not all of them are 100% sure it would be the best thing for The Princess, but they all said, "You have to do what you feel is best." We talked to The Princess about it. She wasn't 100% on-board. We weighed pros and cons. In some cases, we even wrote them down because the discussions got a little deep (aka loud!). We finally made a decision. To me, that's a loaded question. It depends on my mood. It depends on my plans. It just depends. Most of the time, I think about how I need a full time job. I want to get back into teaching. I apply for jobs, but I haven't gotten any of them. I think about my daughter's future. I think about all the things she can become, and the things that scare me about that!  I think about going back to school. I just don't know what I'd study. At the beginning of every semester, I find it hard to plan my lessons.  I know that sounds weird.  I have 18 weeks of information I need to give the students.  I should have PLENTY to plan.   However, it is very hard for me to plan lessons the first few weeks. At the ending of every semester, I find it hard to plan my lessons.  I review all semester.  We play review games all semester.  I have given them PLENTY of information.  There should be plenty to review.  However, there are only so many ways to review information. There are only so many ways to ASK the same questions.  Since I get to make my own exams, it's much easier for me.  If, for some reason, I don't get to finish EVERYTHING I wanted to in a semester, I just don't put it on the exam. :)  If I finish more, I add it to the exam. I know what I want them to learn.  It's just easier to plan in the middle of the semester.... when things are already rollin...

I just spent the last hour-and-a-half trying to call Girl Scout parents. I have 12 girls this year (counting Chasity) and I only got to speak to 7 parents. I guess that really isn't bad. Ok....technically, I talked to 8. I told my hubby everything that I told all the other parents. So I only missed 4. Two have messages. The other two didn't have working phone numbers....so I emailed! I hope that they get the information and show up on Monday night for the meeting. We are going to have Game Night so the girls can get to know each other! I think that will be a great way for them to get to meet each other and not have to introduce themselves 500 times! Anyways....all the Nut and Magazine money is due on Monday. I have 3 other parents that I'm hoping are selling stuff. If not, then Chasity will get all the goodies from the sale! She's sold close to $200 in nuts! That's without my order! Today, I'm going to go to a Scrapbooking Crop. There's a lady from my church who is a Creative Memories consultant. She holds these a couple times a month. We pay to use her tools (like $5 for a day) and we can stay for HOURS to scrapbook. I don't get to do this often. Actually, I just started in September. I have only been ONCE to do this. However... I worked for about 5 hours and (since I was just learning) I finished 6 pages. That's actually good. I have friends that are there that work 6-8 hours for 2-3 pages. I'm not THAT much of a perfectionist...yet. I can't wait to see the difference in the pages that I do now versus the ones I do in a year or two. That will be an interesting thing, I think. As you know, I am a Girl Scout leader. I work with Daisy Girl Scouts. All of the girls in my group are in Kindergarten or First Grade. The Kindergartners will be Daisies again next year, while the First Graders become Brownies. For the past month (or so), I have been working on the Investiture Ceremony for my Daisy scouts. All the girls had to do was show up basically. BUT... the cool part was that we had the ceremony at my church (our sponsorship) during the morning service yesterday. It was so cool. Because I had to be at the front, I didn't get to take any pictures. So...my kid sister took them...on HER camera. So...as soon as I get my pics from her, I'll put them on here so that you guys can see them. The girls looked so cute in their little outfits. They all matched! I couldn't believe how well it went. (Usually when I plan stuff, it doesn't turn out so well!) I hope to have the pics soon from Lisa. I'll have to ask her again! Until next time.........
