Finishing at UNCC

So I have just been playing around with my schedule of classes. If I can get Financial Aid for two classes this summer, I can take 2 classes before August. Then in August I am registered for two classes. Then in January, I would have two classes left! Do you know what that means? That means that if I really get the financial aid that I need, I will spend my summer in class so that I can GRADUATE IN MAY!!!!!!!!! Do you know what that means????? That means that I am almost finished!!!! That means that I will get the raise from "Bachelor Teacher" to "Masters Teacher" after only ONE year of teaching...... of course THAT is assuming that I am going to get a job to start teaching in August! :) I just have to wait on THREE emails to let me know.... one from my adviser, one from the teacher whose class I want to enroll in, and one from the Financial Aid people! :) Hmmmm.....that seems like a LOT of waiting! :) But.... I have been waiting my WHOLE life to finish school. N

Brain is Empty and Some UPDATES

Since the other day when I emptied my brain on here, I haven't really done anything (except homework)!! Before midnight tonight, I will complete my FINAL assignment for this class I'm in. Then I'll complete the Evaluation that has been sitting in my UNCC email inbox for over a week!!! :) I'm looking forward to that one! (Honestly, I hate doing the evals when there is nothing to say! It's really boring!) Chasity went back to the doctor on Monday for her ear. The infection is gone, but there is a 15% tear in her right ear. They did the complete hearing test. Her left ear is PERFECT. However, she has about a 20-25 decibel loss in her right ear. That means that if you are speaking into her right ear, you have to be loud our she won't hear you. :( That makes me sad!! There is another surgery they can do for her. After the summer, she goes back for another check-up. If her ear hasn't healed itself, then the doctor will probably want to do the surgery du

It's Taunting Me

Sitting in my UNCC email inbox right now is the Course Evaluation email for this semester! As we all know, this has not been the best semester ever....online. So, I have a few unfriendly things to say about this course. So, I am waiting. I haven't even opened it since the title of the email gives away the contents. I have to finish my assignment for this week. Then I think that next week is all that I have left in this class..... maybe through Mother's Day, but I think next week is it! Then I am going to give it to this class and unhelpful professor with both barrels! I am just waiting! Tick Tock Tick Tock I sound like somewhat of a ticking time bomb, don't I? It's ok. I can wait until the class is over to tell the university that this professor should never be allowed the internet again to teach a class. That they should make sure the professors know the course they are teaching, what is expected, and how to work the technology before they assign them to a course

Full Brain

So it's been 2 weeks today since I wrote anything. Nothing much has been happening. But my brain is full from all kinds of stuff. I have be working on homework. I have a project that requires that I do research with the students I'm teaching....except that I'm not teaching. So I'm having to be REALLY creative!!!! We'll just have to see how that plays out. :) I only have about 3 weeks left in this class. I'm glad! My Grandma (Mom's mom) was in the hospital a couple weeks ago. She went in for a UTI and severe dehydration. After 3 days of IVs and some rest, she was sent back to the Retirement Center. Now that she is back there, my mom, her brother that lives here in town, his wife and their daughter have been taking turns going to feed Grandma. She isn't eating much. The doctors have taken her off of all her medicines. She has Alzheimer's and has had it for a while. They said that her medicines were just making her tired and they want to try

Gone With the Wind

I am Southern by birth. Now that I am older, I am Southern by choice! Although, I wish for White Christmases every year, the truth is, they only come about once a generation here. If I'm lucky (well...blessed) enough to live to be in my 70s or 80s, I might get to see another one before I'm gone. But, wanting White Christmases is not enough of a reason to move North. I do like cooler weather. That isn't even a good enough reason. So I'll stay Southern by birth and by choice! :) Last night, my most favorite movie of all time based on my 2nd favorite book of all time came on! (My 1st favorite book is the Bible!) I watched almost all of Gone With the Wind last night. Now, before my friends (and readers) think I"m crazy.... NO! I do not condone slavery! (That is ONE reason I'm NOT proud of the South!!) However, I love the characters, the rich scenery, the literary devices, and the story in that book! I fell in love with Rhett Butler when I was a Freshman in
