ONE Answer Leaves a lot of Questions

Over the past few weeks, I have been in the ER a few times. I have been to more doctors' offices than I care to admit. I have seen ER and hospital doctors. I have seen doctors in the office of my primary care physician. I have also seen a neurologist. I have been in for more tests than I ever want to take! In the hospital, I had two CT scans. I had an MRI. And, I had a lot of blood work done. The doctors (outside of the hospital) sent me for more blood work. The neurologist sent me for a 2nd MRI (this time with the contrast dye). He sent me for a 2nd CT scan (with contrast dye this time). He also sent me for a Spinal Tap/Lumbar Puncture. The results are in. I have ONE answer. The prelim results from the Spinal Tap are fine. We are still waiting for the final results; those might be this week or early next week. The MRI and blood work all came back normal. I went for the 2nd CT scan yesterday. They called me yesterday afternoon. I have ONE answer. I have a small aneurism beh...

Interesting Day

Today, since we are giving new state tests (Common Exams/Measures of Student Learning) in NC, the English teachers at my school are all going to be in one room all day.  (That should be fun!)  We have to grade the tests.    YES!  You read that right!  The teachers are grading the state required tests!    Each test had multiple choice and a written part.  The MC is being sent off to be graded—that’s easy!  Each of the written responses is going to be read by at least TWO teachers today.  Then we will give them a grade.    Does anyone else see an issue here?  I grade differently that other teachers at MY school.  I know that teachers at other schools grade differently than we grade at our school.  So the test results (other than the MC) will be biased/skewed at each school…. or so I fear.    I guess we will see.  I hope that this works the way the state has planned, but we will s...

Tests, Girl Scouts, and Fun

So, let's start with fun! Tonight, Tony and I are going to eat at his neice's house tonight. We are going to play Wii or "Scene It"! I can't wait! At the Girl Scout Powder Puff Derby today, Chasity won her Daisy Division. She came in like 6th overall! That was out of 30-40 girls! I spent most of today at UNCC. I had to take the Praxis II test for English. I was really worried this morning. I was also really worried last night. I couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned for about 2 hours. Then I got up for a few minutes. I told Tony that I was scared, and I started crying. He told me that everything was going to be fine. I finally got to sleep around 1am! This morning, he wished me luck and sent me on my way. I had to be there at 7:30am. I left home at 6:30am. I got up at 4:30am. Now, I need a nap! lol Until next time........
