The World According to Leslie

As you all know, I left on Friday of last week to spend the weekend at the beach with my Mary Kay girlfriends. I came home on Sunday afternoon. Well...before I could get home, my hubby left for Atlanta. He will not be home until tomorrow. I have never planned to be a single mom, but I have been one all week. I really don't know how some of my friends do it. Some of them have no one to help them out. So, Monday night, I had to ask my mom to help me out because I had a meeting to learn to sell Girl Scout Cookies! The meeting ran so late that my daughter and I stayed at my mom's house Monday night. Tuesday night, we had Girl Scouts. We were there until about 8:30. Then, we came home and she got in the bed. After that, I had to work on homework. (Just because her dad's not here doesn't mean that my homework stops.) Wednesday, I had class. So, she went to church with my parents and they brought her home to me when they were done. This was the view from my balcony this morning. (I figured out how to do pictures.) Yesterday, it was foggy, so I didn't get to see the sunrise. But today...oh my gosh! It was so beautiful this morning. I just sat there in my pajamas and wrapped in the hotel blanket. All I could think about was how beautiful everything was. I told God, "I'm simply amazed that you could do all this just with your words". I took this shot myself as I sat on the balcony of the hotel. I could not resist the beauty. (Sun on the Tide--Nov. 16, 2008) This is the view directly out my window. I could not resist this shot. It was too beautiful to pass up. I wanted to always remember what the sun looks like just as it comes over the horizon. I wish I could have gotten out there sooner. I could have gotten the shot just as the sun poked up over the ocean. However much I wanted that shot of the sun 1/2 in and 1/2 out of the water, I love this shot that got of the sun this morning.

So I have decided to post pictures here. I even have them on my computer. However.... I do not know how to post them on here. I guess those will come later..... once me and the computer have time to figure out the picture posting.

So, I've spent the last two mornings sitting on a balcony overlooking the ocean as the sun came up. I took some pictures, and I started thinking. There are so many things that we pass everyday that we should stop to look at because God made them for us to enjoy. So, I thought I'd try to put up some of my favorite pictures that I have taken through the years of nature! Until next time...

So... I have decided that my schedule is crazy! I have a lot going on right now. So much in fact that I forgot that I have a blog! Wow! It's amazing how crazy things get sometimes. So... for the past couple of weeks, I have been going to a local high school to observe teachers. Since I am in school myself to become a teacher, it's part of my class requirements. I have learned some interesting techniques to use for my future students. I have actually participated in some of the "workshop" style classes that teachers do to get students ready to write different genres. It's really interesting what you can come up with when you are putting yourself in the place of a high school student. After all I've seen in the past couple of weeks, I think I'm going to start writing more. If nothing more than for myself, I'm going to start writing again! Until next time...
