9500?  That’s an odd number out of context. Right?  However, in just a day or two, that is going to be the number of page views I have had on this blog. I know…for some people, 9500 is a month. I never thought anyone else would read what I am writing, so I’m excited that I have gotten this in the years I have been blogging.   Yes, I would love to be able to make money from my blog. Yes, I would love to write something that would have thousands of followers. Yes, I would love for something I write to go “viral”. For now, and forever if need be, I will be content with my 9500 pageviews and the consistent readers that I have.       Day 11 of Thankfulness:  Today, it’s really the little things that I’m thankful for. Today the Princess gets out of school at 11:30am.   Tomorrow we are going to Trunk-or-Treat at my school.   Sunday is church.   Monday I am resting. I have papers to bring home to grade, but other than that…. I'm sleeping in!   So excited! 

Yesterday was a day of traveling!  We got up early and left Hilton Head.    However….we did not head straight home.  Tony’s brother and sister’s  grandmother died.  (They are his step-siblings!)  We went through Laurens, SC to pay our respects to the family.  We didn’t get to see many people—most had to work until the funeral tomorrow.    But, we got to see their mom.  We haven’t seen her since the Princess was about 3-4 (maybe 5).  We really should make time to see the family more.    I had told my mom we were going through there, but I had not called my dad.  About 1/2 way there, I got a text from Dad asking if we were coming home.   That meant a lot.  It meant he missed us.    So I texted to let him know what was going on.   As soon as we got into town, I called my mom. Today is going to be used for softball and relaxing.   I have another really bad headache today.  However, I won’t be doing any of the driving today.  I will only be sitting down at the games…..under a canopy in the shade.  So, I think I will be fine. Then I’m coming home after our double-header to rest.  I might even take a nap…..if I can get still enough!     GO TARHEELS!
