The kids came to school on Monday!  It has been awesome getting to know my new students!  They are very different than the kids I had last year!  My UNCC classes (2) started on Aug. 20th!  I'm totally trying to not fall behind! My princess is at a new school.  She seems to be liking it.  She says she's only made ONE new friend.  I'm sure that's the hardest part about moving schools.  However, in 2 years, she will change schools again to go to middle school.  Then she will meet MANY new friends from several different schools.  Eventually, she might get to be in classes with her cousins who will be at the same middle and high school! :)  We are getting a new house!  We are buying!  So we are trying to keep up with the packing! However.... this weekend, we are trying to keep up with some REST!  We are FINALLY going on our "summer vacation"!  We are heading to Tweetsie Railroad to hang out with some cowboys a...

Today is my baby girl's birthday! I guess I should stop calling her a "baby girl"!  She's a beautiful young lady now.  Today she's NINE!  Time has flown!  I remember the first time I held her.  Now, she can barely fit on my lap. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGEL GIRL!

So I really don't say much about politics and Presidents on here.  I try to keep this politic free because I have friends who are EXTREMELY opposite of me and I really don't want to offend.  If you care to discuss politics with me, come to me calmly and we can talk. However, here is what I want to say.  It's AUGUST already--almost September!  We have been hearing about the candidates for what seems like forever!  I know who I am voting for. I'm sure MOST Americans have made their decisions too. I think that the TVs should be CAMPAIGN-FREE ZONES from now until November.  I'm a little tired of Romney saying things about Obama.  I'm tired of Obama saying things about Romney.  I've met one of the candidates for Governor, and I'm tired of hearing him speak. I think at this point, all politics should go to an online campaign.  If people want the truth about the candidates, do research online for yourself.  We all know that NONE...

So I said something once...I think.  But, I have a new job.  I will probably never list the school by name, but it is in the same school district where we live.  (There are 7 high schools there.) Since I am a new teacher (Beginning Teacher 2), I started work today!  I will work this week, and then ALL teachers arrive next Monday!  Today thru Wednesday, we have group training for all the new teachers.  Thursday and Friday I will be at my school site!  Hopefully I will meet my mentor teacher one of those days.  Hopefully I will get my room and keys.  I haven't said much about the job because it seems surreal.  I guess I will show/tell more about my room when I actually get it.  Since I didn't have a room (I floated) last year, it's kind of hard to believe until it happens!! Tomorrow we are talking curriculum.  Wednesday, I have no idea what we are doing.  I am totally EXCITED!

I have so much to do: Finish my personal paper for school Finish all my modules for school Finish my final paper for school Finish packing to move Go to Tweetsie Get everything ready for work Have Chasity's birthday party Start new classes online at UNCC.  I only have 2 left!  Then I will graduate in December 2012!! Apply for Graduation. Get cap/gown for Graduation. I really do have a lot to do.  Next week, I start work so I guess I need to get it all done now! :)

June 8th--Last day of school June 12--Chasity had pneumonia June 28--Chasity had an ear infection July 8--Dad was rushed to ER (overnight in hospital--congestive heart failure) July 11-26--Working at daycare for Mom to take Dad to doctor's appointments July 18--Chasity had double ear infection July 31--Only 27 days until school starts (for kids)--13 for me! This is crazy.  With all of this going on, we haven't had a vacation.  We haven't gone swimming.  She hasn't had a single one of the softball lessons we had lined up.  This is crazy!  We have a paid trip to Hilton Head waiting on us (3 nights/4 days).  We can't leave town long enough to go.  Mom doesn't really have anyone else who will put up with the kids at the daycare so that she can be out to take Dad where he needs to go.  There are other people who help when they can, but I'm the only one that drops everything to go.  So.... I guess we will go to Tweetsie one Saturd...

For my online class at UNCC, I have to write a personal writing piece.  I have no idea what to write about.  I could write about the Princess's birth. I could write about my wedding day. I could write about the night I almost lost my father. I just don't know what to write about. I have to start now because we have to go through several stages (that we can show the prof) of writing, revising, editing, and final draft.  I just don't know what to write about. I have to get started, but I don't know what to write. Hopefully I will come up with a topic soon. :)
