Not Me Monday!

Wow! I haven't done one of these in a while! However, this week has been interesting for me.

Since my Dad has been in the hospital this week (and came home on Thursday), I most certainly did NOT eat out a couple of times even though I packed my lunch to go to my Clinical Observations for school. I was not so lazy that I simply went to the hospital to see Dad instead of going home to eat first. I would never do that!

While I was at the hospital this week, I did NOT talk up the nurses about my Mary Kay business to try to get me some customers in the hospital. That would just totally be wrong to do while your Dad is in the hospital. So I would NOT do that.

I also would not go to the MinuteClinic just to make sure I didn't have strep. Since Dad doesn't have his spleen any more, he is more likely to get illnesses. So I would never go to a drug store and let someone I don't know jam a Q-tip down my throat (twice) so that she could test it for strep. Of course, I wouldn't tell her while we were waiting that I really needed it just to be from my sinuses draining. (And I would never share that on my blog either!) NOT ME!

Emotional Easter

WARNING: This post is going to be REALLY long. Don't say you weren't warned! This is the post I have tried to convince myself not to write so that no one's feelings get hurt. Saving Money

Tony and I have always WANTED to save money. However, when we got married, we didn't start right away. Then two years later, Chasity was born. Then it was almost IMPOSSIBLE! Now, we've been married for 9 years, and we have VERY LITTLE actually saved. It seems like every time we get a little saved, something has to be fixed.... usually the car! lol It does need work now, but we're waiting.... but I don't think we can wait long. We know that when I actually get a teaching job, we'll be able to save about 1/3 (maybe more) of my paycheck every month....since we've been living for almost 4 years on just Tony's check anyways. However, I have decided that I want to start saving now! So.... here's my plan. It's really really hard....just kidding! The only thing I need to know is this.....Does Wal-Mart still match prices? My Strange Collection--But Not Strange to Me!

Recently (just a minute ago) I visited Avr over at Just to Write . Today she is talking about things we collect. She collects unicorns. So in her comments today, I added my comment: Well... I collect Salt & Pepper shakers. I have been collecting them as long as I can remember. The rule is that they have to be unusual AND I don't buy them for myself! They have to come from other people....My Grandmother has the beginnings of my collection at her house. Some of them date back to WWII. Her uncle sent them here from overseas when he was fighting in WWII. So that is why I started collecting.... HOWEVER... I too have a collection of unicorn stuff. It has been packed up for a couple years now. I have seriously thought about putting it on eBay just to get rid of it. I started collecting those on my 7th bday. A friend gave me one for my bday and I loved it. Then I would see them everywhere. Then it became an obsession for a while! lol Now I think I'm just going to stic
