Epic Fail

The Girl Scout troop is participating in the local Christmas Festival this Saturday.  The girls have been hard a work for a week or two to make cake balls, cookies, dipped pretzels, etc.  Last week, I asked my church people to please consider donating items for the girls to sell.  (I'm still hoping to get some things!)

Anyways.... over the weekend, I bought some Pillsbury Sugar Cookie dough at the store.  I bought the rolled up kind.  On the roll, it says that you can roll it out to use cookie cutters.  So I did. My cookies were SO PRETTY! 

Then.... I baked them.  :(  They all flattened out and looked like blobs instead of cute trees, bells, gingerbread people, and other shapes.  :(  So disappointed. 

EPIC FAIL!

Emotional Easter

WARNING: This post is going to be REALLY long. Don't say you weren't warned! This is the post I have tried to convince myself not to write so that no one's feelings get hurt. My Goodie Box!

Recently, I participated in a swap over at Dandelion Wishes by Mamarazzi! My partner was Lisa from Like a Valentine ! This was awesome. I was so excited the whole time putting stuff together for my partner. Then I was like a kid at Christmas when I got my package from Lisa. There are some simple rules to the swap.... check out the next one that she does! Anyways... one of the rules is that you take pics and make a post about the goodies that you received. So.... I know these pics and some of the info are repeats from what I did in my 100th post, but I needed a separate post..... just for the swap! These are my goodies as they came out of the box.....weren't they wrapped cutely? I loved the paper Lisa used to wrap it. These are my goodies AFTER I unwrapped them! My Strange Collection--But Not Strange to Me!

Recently (just a minute ago) I visited Avr over at Just to Write . Today she is talking about things we collect. She collects unicorns. So in her comments today, I added my comment: Well... I collect Salt & Pepper shakers. I have been collecting them as long as I can remember. The rule is that they have to be unusual AND I don't buy them for myself! They have to come from other people....My Grandmother has the beginnings of my collection at her house. Some of them date back to WWII. Her uncle sent them here from overseas when he was fighting in WWII. So that is why I started collecting.... HOWEVER... I too have a collection of unicorn stuff. It has been packed up for a couple years now. I have seriously thought about putting it on eBay just to get rid of it. I started collecting those on my 7th bday.
