Random Thoughts

I have many things floating through my head right now.

1. We are having an ICE CREAM PARTY tomorrow night for Girl Scouts. 
2. I really wish I could get my daughter's teacher to email me.
3. I hope that we get into either the Charter school or the Private school that we want for next year.
4. I really need to get to work on writing my book.
5. I really wish there was something I could do to "fix" Dad.  He seems so sad/depressed since he has been told that he might have to go on disability.  :(
6. I need to do Girl Scout bank paperwork.
7. I need to do Girl Scout cookie paperwork.
8. I need to get some sleep.  I have gone to bed at 11pm (or later) every night since Friday!!!  NEED SLEEP!!
9. I have some things to deal with at work, but I won't be putting specifics on here.  (They really aren't that serious.  They are just tedious!)
10. I really wish we would get the softball schedule already!  I need to get my dates aligned.  I also need to get parents signed up for snacks!
11. We need to pick a team name.  I think it should be the Rockies. (They don't have black or navy blue in their colors!  It's going to be HOT outside!  We need LIGHT colors!)
12. I can't believe that in 5 minutes I wrote a list of 12 things that are randomly on my mind.....and I still didn't clear out any space up there!

School Open House

So...tonight we went to the Open House for Chasity's school! WOW! The PTO stuff was absolutely fun! Then... Then, we found out who Chasity's teacher is. I have spoken to a few teachers over the summer, and I have opinions of a couple of them. I knew who I wanted her to have and I knew who I did NOT want her to have. So... So, we went to the lady with the list. Chasity said, "My name is Chasity..........Who is my teacher?" She found her name. She followed the line across the page. She said, "Chasity......... You have Ms. L." I was so excited! It was exactly who I wanted her to have! I squealed with excitement and jumped up and down while clapping. I know....it may sound stupid, but if you can get your kid in a class where you and the teacher speak the same "language", then it will work better. Normal Week

It seems as though we may be in for a “normal” week here in NC.   I haven’t listened this morning, but I don’t think we are expecting any of that strange white precipitation (snow) to fall this week.    The Princess should be getting her softball info this week.  We should know (for sure) the coaches and the team name.  My brother should be one of the coaches, but we never know until after the draft.    Girl Scout cookies (and booths) are in full force.  I feel as though my world is surrounded by them!  And…that could be because they are in 2 of the main rooms of my house—living room and dining room.   I have a couple of meetings this week, so that makes it even more normal.   The countdown for everything is still on.  As soon as we get our softball schedule, we will get to add more things to it… like first practice and first game!    As long as we keep doing what we are doing right now, this w...

NC Weather

In the state of NC, we rarely get that BIG SNOW. They used to be more common.  We used to get one huge snow a year.  Now, we are lucky if we get one every 2-3 years.    However, schools are cancelled, delayed, or let out early for weather all the time here.  We haven’t heard anything today about our schools, but we shall see.    It’s all about waiting to see what happens.  Sometimes, I think that God is sitting up there showing us HIS sense of humor.  He lets the weather people tell us whatever they want to tell us.  Then HE decides to have some fun with the weather.  (That’s just my 2 cents!)   Countdown Updates: 0 days until I pick up cookies!  TODAY is the day! They are still calling for “weather,” but they are pushing back the start time to later today. My scheduled pick up time is 6pm. So, we shall see.  It should be fine.
