Facing the Kids

WOW!  It’s amazing how much frightening high school can be.  I was never afraid to go to school in high school.  I had great friends.  Some of them are still my friends today.

 

However, as an adult, I guess I am a little more (LOT MORE) conscious of how I look and everything.  I was terrified yesterday to go in with my farmer’s tan and raccoon eyes! 

 

The kids did mention it.  Mostly, they wanted to know if I had gone to the lake or the beach or something for break.  When I told them it was from a double-header for my daughter’s softball team, they all wanted to know if she won or lost!  (One of each, actually!  Won one.  Lost one.)

 

High school is not as bad as I thought it was going to be for me yesterday! Smile  Of course, I don’t know why I was worried.  I really do have the best kids ever where I’m teaching now! Smile

Emotional Easter

WARNING: This post is going to be REALLY long. Don't say you weren't warned! This is the post I have tried to convince myself not to write so that no one's feelings get hurt. Saving Money

Tony and I have always WANTED to save money. However, when we got married, we didn't start right away. Then two years later, Chasity was born. Then it was almost IMPOSSIBLE! Now, we've been married for 9 years, and we have VERY LITTLE actually saved. It seems like every time we get a little saved, something has to be fixed.... usually the car! lol It does need work now, but we're waiting.... but I don't think we can wait long. We know that when I actually get a teaching job, we'll be able to save about 1/3 (maybe more) of my paycheck every month....since we've been living for almost 4 years on just Tony's check anyways. However, I have decided that I want to start saving now! So.... here's my plan. It's really really hard....just kidding! The only thing I need to know is this.....Does Wal-Mart still match prices? My Goodie Box!

Recently, I participated in a swap over at Dandelion Wishes by Mamarazzi! My partner was Lisa from Like a Valentine ! This was awesome. I was so excited the whole time putting stuff together for my partner. Then I was like a kid at Christmas when I got my package from Lisa. There are some simple rules to the swap.... check out the next one that she does! Anyways... one of the rules is that you take pics and make a post about the goodies that you received. So.... I know these pics and some of the info are repeats from what I did in my 100th post, but I needed a separate post..... just for the swap!
